August of 1966 saw the completion of the addition to the convent.  With twelve sisters now in residence, more space was desperately needed. In 1967 a Parish Activities Committee was established with events being published weekly in the bulletin.  A Lay School Board was also organized. Because our hymnals in Church were becoming very mutilated and new books would be very expensive, parishioners were asked to purchase personal hymnals and bring them to Mass each week.

A Parish Opinion Box was set up in the vestibule of the Church for Questions and Comments about the church in general or St. Mary Magdalen in particular.  It proved to be very popular and answers to all questions appeared in the bulletin. The Teen Club was established for all interested teens.  Many and varied activities were planned in areas of cultural, spiritual, athletic and social events.  Many high schoolers of our parish joined the Teen Club and help make it a success for many years.
