Monthly Themes

78 Years!

As we celebrate the February Theme of Marriage during our 100th year, we would like to honor two parishioners of St. Mary Magdalen and St. Conrad Parishes.

Andy and Dolores Podczervinski have been married for 78 beautiful years. They were married on November 28, 1947. When asked what the secret is to such a long marriage, Andy’s answer was “Just say yes”. We ask God to bless the both of them and their life together.

Spouse Prayer

Lord Jesus, grant that my spouse and I may have a true and understanding love for
each other.
Grant that we may both be filled with faith and trust. Give us the grace to live with each other in peace and harmony. May we always bear with one another’s weaknesses and grow from each other’s strengths.
Help us to forgive one another’s failings and grant us patience, kindness, cheerfulness and the spirit of placing the well-being of one another ahead of self.
May the love that brought us together grow and mature with each passing year. Bring us both ever closer to You through our love for each other. Let our love grow to perfection. Amen.

Vow Renewal

Thank you and God’s blessings on all the couples who renewed their marriage vows.

It was wonderful to see all of them gather around the altar. It was good to see so many in the gathering area and enjoying the goodies provided by the Fellowship Committee.

Game Day!

The 100th Anniversary Committee is in search of pictures of our parish activities.

In the upcoming months, we will be featuring sports teams, volunteer groups, sacraments and school activities. If you have any pictures you would like to share, please bring them to the parish office with your name and address on them, and we will use them in future displays!

The Game

Event: Fellowship Game Day
Display: Pictures of St. Mary Magdalen Sports Teams

Join us for a day of family fun in the Parish Hall. Bring your own games or use one of ours. Light lunch, snack items and beverages will be provided. Over the years, St. Mary Magdalen Parish has supported a wide variety of sports programs for both our children and adults. School children were offered a chance to play in CYO leagues of softball, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball and cheerleading.  Our summer program offered softball for athletes from T-ball to adult games. Our March display in the gathering area of the church includes trophies won by our school teams in football, baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball and cheerleading.

More trophies can be seen in the parish hall during our annual “Game Day” on Sunday, March 15 from 1:00-4:00pm. As we continue with our monthly displays, for the 100th Year celebrations, if anyone has any photos they would like to share with the committee, they will be most welcome. Future displays will include school activities, sacrament celebrations and parish activities. Thank you.

Volunteers

Our Volunteer Party is scheduled for Sunday, April 19th following the 10:30am Mass. This event is a way for the Parish to recognize those individuals who give of their time and talent to our Parish. There is no charge but you will need to sign up. Beginning next week, there will be a sign up in the Gathering Area. We need a count to plan the meal. Volunteers are part of the strength that makes our parish community flourish.
