Jubilee Pilgrimage
Our Lady of Hope Cemetery
One of the most important observances of a Jubilee Year is the pilgrimage, making our way through the world so as to appreciate the beauty of creation, recall the need for silence and recollection, form friendships with fellow travelers, and seek Christ, who is the way and the gateway to eternal life, in every encounter and situation.
4:30pm: Confession and a self-lead pilgrimage around Our Lady of Hope Cemetery (optional)
5:30pm: Mass at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery in the Mausoleum
6:30pm: Depart for a reception at St. Alfred Church (food & drinks)
Our Lady of Hope Cemetery is a designated pilgrimage site for the 2025 Jubilee Year.
Full participation in the pilgrimage will allow the faithful to obtain a plenary indulgence. To better understand the significance, Click Here

Ice Cream Social | Following Mass
Join us on Sunday, July 27th as we honor the Feast Day of St. Mary Magdalen with our beloved Annual Ice Cream Social!
Let’s gather in joyful fellowship following Sunday Mass in the Parish Social Hall.
- Complimentary Ice Cream for All
- Hot Dog Lunch available – free will donation
This year’s celebration also marks the kickoff of our parish’s 100th anniversary, leading into a century of grace in 2026!
Bring your loved ones and share in the spirit of community and thanksgiving as we begin this special journey together.

AUGUST
Treasure Sale | 10:00am-4:00pm
Join us on Friday, August 15 and Saturday, August 16 for our annual “Treasures Sale.” The sale will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both days in our newly remodeled, air-conditioned St. Mary Magdalen parish hall.
Your cost is the table rental. Any money you make from items you sell is all yours, unless you choose to donate it to the church. The purpose of this sale is to help offset some of the expense involved with celebrating the 100th anniversary of our parish.
You will have one or two tables to display your items. Your cost is $20 for one day or $30 for both days regardless of how many tables you use. Tables are limited so, first come, first serve.
Bring your items the morning of the sale and take home what may be left at the end of the sale. Suggested items: books, video games, toys, movies, tools, knick-knacks, homemade items, household items, Avon products, Pampered Chef products, etc., etc., etc.
If you would like to take part in this sale, please fill out the form below, place it in an envelope marked “Treasures Sale” with your table fee, and place it in the collection basket at Mass. You will be called to confirm receipt.
If you have questions, please call Cathie at 313-383-7285. Leave your name and phone number and a good time to return your call. The deadline to purchase tables is August 1, 2025.
