Today we celebrate St. Mary Magdalen! Over the last nine months we’ve read about highlights throughout St. Mary Magdalen’s history: From her establishment in 1926 to her restructuring in 2026. We’ve learned about the many priests and religious who served here and many of the programs and events held over the years. We’ve seen displays of our school, sports programs, and several annual events. We followed the physical construction of our parish from the church/school building to the hall and convent to the rectory and current church. What we have not read about is the thousands of families who have made St. Mary Magdalen Parish their home. They are the ones who have written most of our history. They gave to building funds, worked at festivals and organized and supported the many parish clubs and ministries.

They cooked breakfasts and dinners for their fellow parishioners, painted rooms and buildings, planted gardens and coached our children in a variety of sports. These are the people who serve at our Masses, spend time in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament and who support our parish in whatever way they are able. It is all those who were, and those who still are members of St. Mary Magdalen Parish, that make her what she is today – a welcoming, multi-ethnic community of believers united in the Catholic Faith.

We are grateful for the many blessings bestowed on St. Mary Magdalen Parish and her members as we continue to grow closer to God our Father and to one another in, with and through Jesus our brother with the help of the Holy Spirit.
